William Edward Person

Mr. William Edward "Bear" Person, 61, of Franklinton, NC was born February 13, 1959 and departed this earthly life on Monday January 25, 2021.  William was born to Annie  Mae and Fred Douglas Person. He was trained as a "Mason Tender".  He made Raleigh, NC his home and worked throughout the triangle area with the Alston Masonry Company for many years. In his later years he worked as a gardener in several home gardens in the Raleigh area. 

Bear was a good, humble soul who made his way through life being grateful for what was and not resenting what was not.  He was empathetic, joyful,  and  loved his family, unselfishly supporting them whenever possible.  He took great pleasure in God's creations - particularly wildlife and flowers. He was a committed walker because it gave him the opportunity to study the beauty of the world around him. He particularly loved February Gold daffodils and the colors found in the feathers of our native ducks.  His obvious joy in simple things brought smiles to those who knew him and encouraged them to have gratitude for their blessings.   He will be missed by those whose path he crossed.  He is survived by Margurite Person, sister,  of Henderson, NC, and Sharon Elaine Person,niece, of Raleigh, NC and several great nieces.  Private services at a later date.
