Shirley Johnson Turner, 84, of Garner, NC departed this earthly life on Friday March 15, 2024.  Funeral Service at 12:00 PM, Saturday March 23, 2024 at Good Samaritan Baptist Church, 9433 White Oak Road, Garner, NC 27529.  Visitation precedes the service at 11:00 AM.  Public viewing Friday March 22, 2024 at Haywood Funeral Home from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment follows the service Saturday at Carolina Biblical Gardens, Garner, NC 27529.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Tarsha Turner; granddaughter Kiara Turner; and grandson Tay'Shon Moore all of Raleigh, NC.  A "special niece" whom she raised, Cynthia Nesbit ( Herb); a step-daughter Teresa Turner Sweeney ( Ralph) of Raleigh, NC; a stepson Maurice Baugh ( Felicia) of Cary, NC; Leonard, Turner brother-in- law, and Betty Turner, sister-in-law both of Rocky Mount, NC. Lonnie Turner, brother-in-law of New Carrollton, MD; Robert Banks, brother-in-law of Raleigh, NC and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.,
