Roy Amos Bell, the youngest child of the late Hubert and Magnolia “Maggie Jenny” Jeanette Page Bell, was born on Saturday, March 13, 1943 in Johnston County. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Duke Raleigh, after a courageous battle with 2 forms of cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his older siblings, Juniel, Ralph and Theodore “Ted” and a godchild, Bridgett Bell.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of more than 41 years, Rosalyn Williams Bell, of the home; his son Clarence Evans, Jr., of Raleigh, his daughter- Sherine Wilson (DeSean), of the home, a grandson Alexander Kaisen Wilson, of the home; a sister Shirley of Clayton, a surrogate brother, James Paige of Alexandria, VA., and a godson Richard Campbell, Jr., of Raleigh. He also leaves a host of relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held Sunday, August 6, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Haywood Funeral Home, 2415 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. Funeral service at 12:00 noon Monday August 7, 2023 at Victory Tabernacle Church, 1329 US-70 W, preceded by an 11:30 am visitation. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens, 1530 Creech Road, Garner, NC.
