Preston Oliver Anders, 71, departed this earthly existence on Friday January 17, 2025. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday January 27, 2025, at St. Ambrose Episcopal Church, 813 Darby Street, Raleigh, NC 27610. Service will be at 12:00 PM preceded by an 11:00 AM  Visitation.  A Public Viewing is scheduled for Sunday January 26, 2025 from 2:00 PM-6:00 PM. at Haywood Funeral Home.

His survivors include his wife, Patricia of the home in Raleigh; Sons Rashon of Durham, NC, Preston Jr., of Knightdale, NC, Hassan of Istanbul, Turkey; Daughters Patrice Hockaday of Wendell, NC, Kimberly Hockaday of Raleigh, NC; Sister Yvonne Anders-Gordon of Greenville, DE; Brothers-in-law Harry Taylor, Jr. of Sykesville, MD and Darryl Taylor of Baltimore, MD.  Granddaughters; Ashley Hockaday of Raleigh, Tanae Hockaday of Wendell, NC, Grandsons; Armone Anders, of Durham NC, Braylon Herndon of Wendell, NC; Granddaughters Taylor Hudson, of Raleigh, NC; Sumaiya Anders and Yura Anders, Istanbul, Turkey, Grandson Ammar Anders of Istanbul, Turkey and Great-Grandson, Juliane Brown, of Garner, NC.
