Ms. Octavia Ruth Lyon, 63, of Raleigh, NC departed this earthly life on Sunday October 16, 2022.  Funeral service at 1:00 PM Monday October 24, 2022 at Praise Temple Apostolic Church, 131 Guy Road Clayton, NC preceded by a 12:30 PM visitation.  Viewing from 2:00 - 8:00 PM Sunday October 23, 2022 at Haywood Funeral Home.

Survivors: daughters Linette Gilbert, Sieta Lyon, Ashia Lyon, and Demetria Bruce all of Raleigh, NC; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sisters Delores Smith, and Vanessa Lyon; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
