Mildred “Tink” Goldston Massey, 84 of Raleigh, NC departed this earthly life on Saturday, September 18, 2021, she was born in Chatham County to Randolph Goldston and Dora Goldston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Massey, son, Tony Massey, daughter, Rhonda Massey. Sisters, Barbara Jean Higgs, DeLois Carter, JoAnne Rochelle. Brothers, George Goldston and Levander Goldston.
Surviving is her son Reginald Tyrone Massey, grandchildren, Reginald Massey II, Raheem Brimmer. Four great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; family and friends.
Tink never met a stranger, she was a social butterfly, especially if you were ready to play spades. She was a puzzle enthusiast, she could solve a crossword puzzle in minutes. An avid book reader, who would share each book after reading as well as send you a surprise book in the mail. She loved to put together puzzles and would have them displayed for family and friends to see the beauty. There was no one more competitive in games than herself. Tink kept the family going with her stronger than life personality and showed love to family and friends all the time never forgetting a birthday of anyone. She loved family and nothing made her smile more than to see her family gathering and frying fish, laughing, reminiscing, dancing and playing games. She had a love for children and called them her heart. She kept family and friends’ children in her home, and they called her grandma. Tink enjoyed life to the fullest she traveled the world with her husband and children and enjoyed telling stories of the many adventures they would encounter.
