Michael Williams

Mr. Michael Sherwood Williams, son of Willie Mae Willaims and James Louis Green was called home on February 5, 2019 at 3:30pm at the William Dunlap Center for Caring.

Michael was born in Raleigh, North Carolina  and employed with North Carolina State University, Needham B. Broughton High School and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.  Michael's good humor and lustrous laugh will be long remembered by his family and friends.  He will be missed in the lives of those he touched.

Michael Sherwood Williams leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Willie Mae Williams of Raleigh, NC; three sisters, Renee Green, Vickie and Anita Williams all of Raleigh, NC; one niece, Asia Price of Clayton, NC; three nephews, David, Antonio, and Antione Williams of Raleigh, NC; two aunts, Natalie Junious of Wendell, NC, and Joan Belinda Williams of Raleigh, NC; one uncle, Roosevelt Williams of Raleigh, NC and a host of cousins and friends.

 Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the C.A. Haywood Sr. Memorial Chapel, 2415 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC at 1:00 PM with visitation preceding the service at 12:00 PM. Public viewing will take place on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Haywood Funeral Home from 2-8 PM.
