Mrs. Mary Evelyn Thomas, 83, of Raleigh, NC departed this earthly life on Tuesday August 29, 2023.  Funeral service at 11:30 AM Tuesday September 5, 2023 at Watts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 3703 Tryon Road preceded by an 11:00 AM visitation.  Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens.  Viewing from 2:00 - 5:00 PM on Monday September 4, 2023 at Haywood Funeral Home. 

Survivors: daughter, Vanessa Thomas (Wilson) of Apex, NC; sons, Milton Thomas of Woodbridge, NJ, and Christopher Thomas of Charlotte, NC; brother, Joseph Blalock (Alean) of Garner, NC; grandson, Terry Bizzell (San) of Raleigh, NC; great granddaughter, Charity Bizzell of Raleigh, NC; sis-in-law, Josephine Goodman of Hillside, NJ.
