Sunday January 7, 2024, Marina A. Houston, from Cary, NC, transitioned to her new life. She is survived by her two daughters Sandra Marina Houston of Cary, NC and Joanna Montana of Manila, Philippines; her two sons Robert D. Houston of Fuquay-Varina; Frederick A. Houston, Jr. of Cary, NC; her grandchildren Carly D. Houston and Xavier Lee Houston of Fuquay-Varina, NC; her 5 sisters, and brother Bernardita G. Ginete, Purificacion G. Geroy, Ellen G. Aton, Salvacion G. Guatno, Lourdes G. Ramos, and Eulogio Dionisio Adonis, Jr. all reside in the Philippines. Marina was a loving and nurturing mother who always put others’ cares before her own. She loved to make new friends and her smile would brighten up everyone’s day. Marina (Ma) will be forever missed, but it's comforting to know the Lord has welcomed another beautiful soul.
There will be a public viewing on Thursday January 18, 2024, at Haywood Funeral Home 2415 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC , 27603, from 2:00 PM-8:00 PM.
Funeral service is scheduled for Friday January 19, 2024, 10:00 AM at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
