Larry King, Sr.

Mr. Larry King, Sr., loving husband, father and friend, departed this earthly life on August 21, 2021.

Mr. King was born in Philadelphia, PA to Elizabeth and Burnell King, Sr.  He graduated from Gratz High School in the city and afterward moved to Raleigh, NC to attend St. Augustine’s College where he earned a degree in Mathematics.  He worked the bulk of his career with the US Postal Service as an Information Technology professional.

Larry touched the lives of many.  He will be remembered for his kind spirit, wittiness, and a heart to serve.

Memorial Services for Mr. King will be held on Wednesday, September 1st at C. A. Haywood, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 2415 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC.   Visitation will begin at 5:30pm with the Memorial Service beginning at 6pm.

 **Please Note:  We are requesting that all in attendance wear a face covering or mask for the visitation, and service.  Also know that 3 feet of social distancing is expected.  We are limited to accept a total of 100 individuals per the State guidelines for any indoor services due to COVID-19. ....
