Jacqueline H. Jenkins, 77, of Raleigh, NC departed this earthly life Thursday August 3, 2023.  Funeral service begins at 11:00 AM Saturday August 12, 2023 at C.A. Haywood, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 2415 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.  A viewing and visitation precedes the service at 10:30 AM. 

Jackie is survived by her daughter, Dawn Jenkins Wilkerson and husband Dr. Kelvin K. Wilkerson of Leavenworth, Kansas, two stepsons Aaron and Kevin. She is also survived by her sister, Deborah Hunter Weaver (husband, Raymond, Sr. of Durham, NC), brother, Reverend Wayne L. Hunter (wife, Linda) of Raleigh, NC. She had two brothers who preceded her death, Wilbert A. Hunter, Jr. and Ronnie L. Hunter. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She had one uncle, George Hunter and three devoted friends, Jacqueline Fields Lownes from Greensboro, NC, Martha Borden Mullen from Charlotte, NC, whom she met at Bennett College in Greensboro, NC in 1964, and Reverend Dr. Myrtle Lillian Capehart from Carmichael, CA.
