Obituary

JaVan Cannon was born September 24, 1969 to the late Charles Cannon, Jr. and Lula Mae Thomas Cannon in Raleigh, NC.

JaVan attended Wake County Public Schools. He graduated from Athens Drive Senior High School in 1987.

JaVan worked in construction for many years before moving to Winston-Salem, NC to work as a forklift operator for thirteen years with Ashley Furniture Co.

JaVan was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Cannon-Grier, a sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Cannon, and two brothers, Charles and Elvis Cannon.

He is survived by three brothers, Norvin Cannon (Rachel), Anthony Cannon, and Michael Cannon, Sr. (Sharon), all of Raleigh, NC; two sisters, Arnetta
Cannon of Los Angeles, CA and Michelle Cannon Barbour of Raleigh, NC; a special nephew in the Army, Artiss M. Barbour, Jr.; two uncles, Donald and
Michael Cannon; five aunts, Margaret Cheeks, Doris Cannon, Edith Lane, Hazel Goodman, and Mary Thomas; one great-great-aunt, Clyde Mae Hill; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.

 Funeral service at 1:30 PM Tuesday September 28, 2021 at tha C.A. Haywood, Sr. Memorial Chapel preceded by a 1:00 PM visitation.  Viewing from 2:00 - 6:00 PM Monday September 27, 2021 at Haywood Funeral Home.
