Hermena E. Hunter

Mrs. Hermena E. Hunter, 94, of Raleigh, NC departed this earthly life on Thursday December 15, 2022.  Her funeral service will be held Friday, December 23, 2022 beginning at 12:00 PM at Wilson Temple United Methodist Church, 1023 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC.  At 11:00 AM, the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority service is scheduled.  Following their service will be family visitation until 12:00 PM.  The interment is scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday December 27, 2022 at Carolina Biblical Gardens, 1530 Creech Road, Garner, NC 27529.

There will be a public viewing Thursday December 22, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Haywood Funeral Home, 2415 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.

Mrs. Hunter's immediate survivors include a daughter, Gloria A. Hunter of Raleigh, NC; a granddaughter, Keisha Peaks; of Raleigh; two brothers, David L. Edwards, Jr. (Elsie) and James W. Edwards (Artura); both of Raleigh; two sisters, Rev. Brenda Y. Mills (Raymond) of Raleigh, and Delores L. Hinton (Willie) of Garner, NC.; and a great granddaughter, Tifany Tate (Christopher) of Clayton, NC.
