Eunice L. (Cumbo) White

Mrs. Eunice Cumbo White, 94, of Raleigh, NC departed this earthly life on Wednesday December 15, 2020 at Hillcrest Convalescent Center in Raleigh.  Eunice was born on September 21, 1926 to the late Benjamin and Kittie Cumbo.  In addition to her parents, Benjamin and Kittie Cumbo, Eunice was predeceased by her husband, Leslie White, brother Benjamin Cumbo, II; sisters Inez Wilson, Thernotta Curtis and Thelma Lennon; nephews, Benjamin "Butch" Curtis, Freddie Curtis and niece Brenda Jones.

Eunice leaves to mourn her loss, a sister, Bernice Cumbo Coles; niece Kimberly Coles; nephews. Michael Curtis (Rhonda Towns), Benjamin Cumbo, III, (Deborah), Pierre Cumbo, Carlton Coles (Sara), a very special friend, Jacque Peebles, a devoted friend and caregiver, Sarah Ruffin, and a special cousin, Thomas Perry.  She also has a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

She cherished her memberships in the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, the Links, and the Leisurettes.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Eunice will have a private Funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM Tuesday December 22, 2020 at the C.A. Haywood, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 2415 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC.  A 1:30 PM visitation precedes the service. The Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Prospect Avenue and Fayetteville Street, Raleigh. ... There is a scheduled Viewing from 2:00 - 8:00 PM Monday December 21, 2020 at Haywood Funeral Home.
