Ms. Esther Morgan Hayes, 88, of Raleigh, NC departed this earthly life Thursday October 26, 2023. Funeral service will be at St. Ambrose Episcopal Church, 813 Darby Street, Raleigh, NC at 12:00 PM Saturday November 4, 2023.  Visitation precedes the service at 11:30 AM.  Public viewing to be held Friday, November 3, 2023 at Haywood Funeral Home from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

She is survived by two granddaughters, Tiffany Hayes and Tonya Hayes, both of Raleigh, NC.; four great granddaughters, Alexus McClain, Jamesa McClain, Genesis McClain and Miracle McClain, all of Raleigh, NC: one great grandson, Xiyou McClain, of Raleigh, NC and five great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two very dear long-time friends, Karen Thomas and Adrienne Chalmers.
