Ernestine Whitaker, 96, of Garner, NC departed this earthly life on Sunday February 1, 2026.  Funeral service Monday February 9, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Springfield Baptist Church, 4309 Auburn Knightdale Road, Raleigh, NC 27610. Visitation begins prior to the service at 11:30 AM.  Public viewing Sunday February 8, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Haywood Funeral Home, 2415 South Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27603.  Entombment follows the service at Carolina Biblical Gardens, 1530 Creech Road, Garner, NC 27529
