Eric Lee Brown

Mr. Eric Lee Brown, 64, departed this earthly life on Friday October 28, 2022 in Raleigh, NC.  Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday November 5, 2022 at Lincolnville AME Church, 6400 Chapel Hill Rd., Raleigh, NC 27607. There will be a visitation and viewing prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM. Friday November 4, 2022, there will be a public viewing scheduled from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Haywood Funeral Home., 2415 South Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27603. Interment follows the service at Carolina Biblical Gardens, 1530 Creech Rd., Garner NC 27529. 

Eric Lee Brown departed life peacefully with his loving family around him on October 28, 2022. Eric was born in Salisbury, Maryland on November 14, 1957.  

 Eric graduated from Needham Broughton High School and attended North Carolina State University. Eric was also known as “Ricco” and “Ricky”.  His favorite hobbies were watching movies, fishing with his friends, especially Anthony Leach, spending time at Bass Pro Fishing Shop and he also loved to cook. Eric had a nice personality and never met a stranger. Eric had a mild tone when he spoke and could attract the attention of many with his knowledge of various subject matters. People loved to listen to him talk and he loved to give advice.   

Eric worked at Rex Hospital where he met and married his wife, Geraldine, of 35 years. Eric was a loving and kind husband.  

Eric was preceded in death by her mother Alice Stanley Jones and daughter Karen Bronson.  He leaves behind his wife Geraldine Brown, three sisters, Deborah Robinson, Selma Shaw and Elora Lee of Raleigh, NC, two brothers, Robert Mollock (Dorothy) of Delmar, DE, and Frederick Mollock (Dorothy) of Warwick, RI, Special nieces, Denise Lee, of Knightdale, NC, Chiquita Pearson (Darren) of Roswell, GA, and Marcella Bell (Grant) of Litchfield Park, AZ, Goddaughter/Niece Miranda Johnson and Aunt Winifred George, Providence, RI and a host of  relatives and friends.
