Dorothy Mae Allen, 72, departed this earthly life on Sunday September 10, 2023. A Memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, September 22, 2023 at Haywood Funeral Home, 2415 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. A visitation with the family precedes the service beginning at 11:00 AM.
Dorothy is survived by two sons, David Allen of Woodbridge, Virginia and Robert Allen of Dumfries, Virginia; two daughters, Cassandra Allen of Raleigh, NC and Dr. Krystal Allen of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two granddaughters Ashley Lothian of Jersey City, New Jersey and Aaliyah Allen of Dumfries, Virginia; four grandsons. Andre Allen of Capitol Heights, Maryland, Jalen Allen of Dumfries, Virginia, Robert Smith of Greenville, NC, and Omari Smith of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Brenda Crump of Raleigh, NC; one Aunt, Willie Mae Leonard, of Raleigh, NC; and one great granddaughter, Chloe Brown of Jersey City, New Jersey.
An inurnment will follow the service at Carolina Biblical Gardens, 1530 Creech Road, Garner, NC 27529.
