Mrs. Constance Jean Clark White, affectionally known as "Jean" was born on August 25, 1955, in Raleigh, North Carolina to the late Swade McLamb and Mattie Clark Walker. She transitioned to be with Christ on Sunday July 19, 2020 surrounded by her family.
Jean was employed with North Carolina State University. She worked in the Fountain Dining Hall as a server for over fifteen years until her retirement. After retirement Jean was able to spend more time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Jean was well loved throughout the community and the Raleigh area because of her kind spirit and loving personality. She also took delight in helping other people. She had a great sense of humor and was very witty.
Jean leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband of twenty-nine years, Ronald Dewayne White; three sons, Tom Clark (Vanessa) of Garner, NC, Leroy Clark of Wendell, NC, and Vernon Clark of Blythewood, SC; three daughters, Patrice Chavis (Chris) of Raleigh, NC, Christy Clark (Terrence) of Raleigh, NC, and Kiersten Bennett (Terence) of SC; eight grandchildren, Patrick Evans, Deja Clark, Brandon Sutton, Adam Clark, Jourdin Gibson, Tiana Clark, Shekinah Bennett, and Kensley Clark; two great-grandchildren, Amora Evans, and Sidney Grantham, and their mother, Tiffani Daye; one brother, Henry Clark of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Oletha Clark of Raleigh, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday July 24, 2020 in the C A Haywood, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 2415 South Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC beginning at 12:00 PM. There will be a Visitation prior to the service in the chapel from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The Interment will be at Carolina Biblical Gardens, 1530 Creech Road in Garner., NC.*** Please Note: For Funeral Services that we provide during Phase II; we will be limiting any public viewings to a “walk through.” Group gatherings will not be permitted in our facility during the time of public viewings. During scheduled funerals, attendance will be limited to a maximum of fifty (50) individuals, which includes family, clergy, staff, and close friends.
We ask that all individuals in attendance at any viewing or service wear a face covering or mask, and maintain (6) six feet distancing. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
