Celestine Singletary Jeffries, 73, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 in Greensboro, NC. Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday April 15, 2023 at St. John AME Church, 3001 Tryon Road , Raleigh, NC 27603  preceded by an 11:00 AM visitation.  On Friday April 14, 2023, a public viewing is scheduled from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Haywood Funeral Home, 2415 South Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27603. The Interment follows the church service at Carolina Biblical Gardens, 1530 Creech Road, Garner, NC 27529.
