Brookins of Durham, NC and Michael Ahjani of Raleigh, NC; Daughter Nailah Brookins of Raleigh, NC; Grandson Julius Sippen Brookins of Durham, NC; Granddaughter Zakiyah Brookins and Zeyana Brookins both of Raleigh, NC; Brother Earnest G. Hays of Chicago, IL; Sisters Pearlene Mariner of Lansing, MI, Annie Mae London of Detroit, MI, and Elizabeth Moss of AR; Mother-in-law Ruby Brookins of Chicago, IL; Brothers-in-law Vernon L. Brookins and Stanley E. Brookins both of Chicago, IL; Sister-in-law Yolanda White of Chicago, IL; Daughter-in-law Anya Sippen of Durham, NC.

Funeral service Saturday May 25, 2024 at 12:00 PM preceded by a visitation at 11:00 AM in the C A Haywood, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 2415 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. A public viewing is scheduled for Friday May 24, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Haywood Funeral Home. Interment following the service is scheduled for Mount Hope Cemetery, 120 Prospect Ave, Raleigh, NC, 27603.
