Bessie J. Hunter

Mrs. Bessie Jane Marrow, 97, of Raleigh, NC departed this earthly life on Saturday, March 14, 2020. She was born on July 12, 1922 to Claude Harris and Cora Marrow. She was married for 50 years to the love of her life, the late Mr. Curtis Hunter,  Bessie Jane was not only beautiful on the outside, but most of all beautiful on the inside. She was full of grace, wisdom, love, compassion, and most of all laughter. She had a contagious laugh and the brightest smile that would melt your heart. Bessie Jane lived to see the golden years of ninety seven. However, it took some time to know the true number, because she celebrated many "sweet sixteen" birthday parties gathered by family and friends. She stayed young at heart and in spirit.

She leaves to cherish her memories, laughter, love, and legacy with her seven children: Robert Lee Hunter "Jimmy", Curtis Hunter Jr., Phyllis Rhodes (Randy), Willie Hunter, Cynthia Butler (the late James), Cora Riddick (Clyde) and Troy Hunter all of Raleigh, NC. Grandchildren: Tondra, Robin, Curtis, Elizabeth, Benjamin (Brooke), Kevin, Chris, Quintin, Cedrick, Michelle and Alicia. Great Grandchildren: Karrington, Jasmine, Nevaeh, Idgvea, Keno, Amaya and Jada and Great Great Grandchild: Layloni, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will take place at 12:00 Noon, Friday, March 20, 2020 at Carolina Biblical Gardens, 1530 Creech Rd, Garner, NC.
