Anthony Waddell Harris was born on January 5, 1964 in Chapel Hill, NC to parents, Mary Patterson and the late Wallace Baldwin. Anthony went home to be with the Lord on June 29, 2026.
Anthony was educated in the Wake County Public School System. He was employed with Haywood Funeral Home for over 25 years where he was widely known for his compassionate service, professionalism, reliability and amazing teamwork.
Anthony loved to play the guitar and used his gift to serve as the Lead Guitarist at State Street Community Church. He found peace in riding motorcycles and joy in spending time with his family.
Anthony was preceded in death by his sister, Shannon Patterson, and his son, Demetrius Raheim Crudup.
Anthony leaves to cherish his most precious memories: his mother, Mary Patterson; his children, Selita Briana Neal, Blake Antionette Neal & Anthony Darius Neal; his siblings, Malcolm Patterson, Christopher Patterson, Timothy Baldwin, Wallace Baldwin Jr, Travis Baldwin, Bethany Davis & Lashawn Warren; his aunt, Alice McKnight; his grandchildren, Tai’yana Arrington, Jordan Hudson, Giovanni Sanchez, Kalanni Sanchez, Jalen Neal, Kaylin Peoples, Nayani Neal & Nalani Neal; his great granddaughter, Promise Tucker; and his former wife/best friend, Telita Neal. His life is also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service at 11:00 AM Thursday July 9, 2026 at State Street Community Church, 1200 S. State Street, Raleigh, NC preceded by a 10:00 AM visitation. Interment on Friday July 10, 2026 at Carolina Biblical Gardens in Garner, NC. Viewing from 2:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday July 8, 2026 at Haywood Funeral Home.
